Hartsfield-Jackson is the world’s largest airport, which means that chances are good that your flight will be delayed long enough for you to take an eight-minute Uber to the Hapeville neighborhood to the original Chick-fil-A. Opened in 1946, you can get the famous chicken sandwich and waffle fries, or you can order off the full-on diner menu in the brick-fronted building with, you guessed it, a tiny door. (How about a Hot Brown sandwich and a side of fried okra? While in the South…) So much better than eating out of a bag while sitting on the airport floor.
PRO TIP: Also try the Truett burger, griddled with shredded cheese on top.
THE DETAILS: Open 24 hours. Closed Sunday.
