It’s surprising that in a city with such fantastic weather year-round, there are so few places with good outdoor seating. Superstar restaurateur Larry McGuire fixes that with a modern seafood spot that is the perfect place to linger for a late, boozy lunch of oysters, ceviche, and rosé that might just happen to segue into dinner. (Luckily, they serve continuously. Should your flight get in mid-afternoon, this is where you want to pop in for a bite.) The bustling, beachy space, with its hexagonal white tiles and pops of sea green, is just as comfortable for your friends and colleagues as it is for your country-club aunt. Call it grown-up casual.

PRO TIP: We know it’s about the oysters here, but can we talk about the burger? In a town of unmanageably big patties, this petite Black Angus number—with Gruyère and sauce gribiche—is among the best.

THE DETAILS: Sunday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Happy hour Monday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: half off burgers and 50 cents off oysters, with $5 martinis. (Sunday, wine is half off from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.)
