If you’re aspiring to live in a rustic-chic New England farmhouse, surrounded by a field of wildflowers, perhaps within earshot of a babbling brook, swing by this minimal South End shop and buy one of every lovingly selected item. Because your charming new lifestyle needs dove-gray ceramic pitchers from Vermont-based Farmhouse Pottery, vintage copper pots restored to shiny splendor, hand-forged oyster knives with polished handles as sleek as the blades are sharp, and, of course, a custom wooden compost bin. The back wall is lined with cookbooks, both recent publications and a trove of vintage picks (check out the killer graphic design on Soup Cookery, the Savory Heinz Way).

PRO TIP: On Tuesdays, the shop serves as a pickup location for Five Fork Farms flower CSA, and often hosts the gorgeous blooms for pop-ups.

THE DETAILS: Closed Sunday and Monday; open 11 am. to 6 p.m. all other days, except Tuesday, when it stays open until 7 p.m.
