GO HERE: Go Here: for soulful Israeli food from Ottolenghi alums Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, who are building a joyful mini-empire in a quiet corner of residential Fitzrovia. Have breakfast, elevenses, lunch, or dinner at their original café, then head over to their grocery, Honey & Spice, to stock up on all the spices you’ll need to cook from their excellent cookbooks and to pick up a salad or snacky sandwich baked on their incredible seeded bread. They recently added their cheery touch to nearby Honey & Smoke, where the focus is on grilled meats.

ORDER THE: breakfast—green shakshuka, merguez sausage roll, morning bun, cardamom coffee. Cakes: chocolate, hazelnut, and cinnamon babka, any cheesecake. Dinner: Chicken shish, roasted aubergines with a BBQ tahini crust.

THE VIBE IS: steamy windows and happy locals.

PRACTICAL STUFF: Open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Closed Sunday. Go early on weekends, unless you don’t mind waiting.
