Venice Beach's answer to cool Japanese design

If you have even a mild obsession with Japanese design and/or cooking, you will quite possibly lose your mind at this Venice home store. Whether it’s the perfect white enamel kettle with a wooden handle, a ceramic donabe pot, gleaming copper scissors, or a handsome glass coffee dripper, the goods here are all about quiet design in timeless materials. You’ll find things at all price points, so if you can’t swing the patinaed $200 brass tea canister, you can buy the matching tea scoop for $14. Our favorite splurge: a nesting stack of metal bowls with removable strainers by Sori Yanagi. You won’t remember how you prepped without them.

PRO TIP: Don’t miss the gallery in the back, which hosts beautiful exhibitions.

THE DETAILS: Open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
