After a few days spent immersing your insides in butter, you may be wondering where the salads are. You’ll find them at Satsuma. Located in the colorful, walkable Bywater neighborhood, lined with shotgun houses where dockworkers once lived, this laid-back art-filled restaurant and café has carved out a home for those looking for fresh-pressed juices and leafy greens. Atone with a “green drink” (apple, fennel, kale, cucumber, and celery), a raw vegetable salad, and, because you’re still in New Orleans, a roasted pear and Brie melt.

PRO TIP: Wi-Fi gets shut off during busy hours, so don’t plan on making this your base camp for a work session.

THE DETAILS: Open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There’s a second location uptown near Tulane.
