GO HERE: for pristine pour overs and funky drinks like nitro ice cream floats—without the attitude. The two childhood friends behind Rival Bros. bring the good vibes, the creative drinks, the attentive baristas, and the natural light.
THE VIBE IS: not your airy, all-white and pastel cafe. It's a coffee bar rendered in navy and black that has Clint Eastwood quotes on the walls and a logo of two dudes sparring in a boxing ring. Co-owner and former chef Jonathan Adams is one of the nicest people in a city known for nice people. Talk to him if he’s around.
ORDER THE: signature drink—a Gibraltar (essentially a cortado in a Gibraltar glass) they call a Derringer after the 19th-century pistol and any of the exemplary breads and pastries from the local baking geniuses at High Street on Market.
