You may have heard of a little thing called Yelp. You might use it to get inspiration for what to order at dinner later, and then fall in—deep—realizing you're 17 pages of reviews in and still don't know if you should get the short rib sundae or the Corn Flake chicken and wait a second, did you even make a reservation?
So who better to ask for some restaurant recommendations than Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, who has a thing for Tartine bakery croissants, which means we can 100% trust his word as gold.
Bakeries##
"Perhaps a cliche pick, but I've been glued to the Tartine cookbook and have been making amazing whole wheat sourdough at home like a champ!"
"Former Gary Danko pastry chef, Belinda Leong is crushing all things sweet and buttery, earning lines out the door in the process. The cappuccinos pair perfectly with their classic croissant, but if you're feeling decadent, everyone loses their minds over the chocolate kouign amann!"
Restaurants##
"Same owner as b. Patisserie, amazing sandwiches and salads. Quick and casual and delicious... for a sweet treat try one of their homemade fruit shrubs."
"Impossibly long line for brunch, try a dinner reservation instead. Their artisanal bread made in house is sickkk."
Presidio Picnic (Sundays April through October)"Food trucks, vendors, beer, music, views and sunshine (usually). Exotic sausages (think rattlesnake) from Rosamunde Sausage Grill are a must. Tourists haven't figured this one out yet, be the first!"
