GO HERE: for Instagram-worthy ice cream sandwiches that combine the talents of an inventive ice cream parlor with the cookie-making wizardry of a cult-favorite bakery.

ORDER THE: most over-the-top marriage of ice cream and cookie (or cinnamon bun, or Hong Kong-style bubble waffle) you can dream up. Burnt toffee ice cream on an “everything” cookie (made with chocolate, pretzel chunks, peanut butter, and oatmeal) and cinnamon toast ice cream on a spicy ginger cookie are popular suggestions, but that’s playing it safe. Go for Banana Puddin’ on a dark chocolate RoCocoa cookie, or the purple ube-flavored Totaro on an oatmeal cookie. The basic rule here is that everything tastes as good as it looks.

THE VIBE IS: like a gaggle of second graders with a sugar high.

PRACTICAL STUFF: Open Tuesday–Thursday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday–Saturday 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Lines are usually shorter on weekday afternoons (obviously). Peak wait times (summer afternoons and evenings) can be about 45 minutes. And there’s a freezer case inside the small shop that has pints and premade ice cream sandwiches to go.
