Dhanya Samuel

Dhanya Samuel was born in India but spent much of her youth in the Middle East before making her way to Melbourne, Australia, which she now calls home. Inspired by Australia’s rich produce and market culture, and wanting to fill the time left after leaving her career as a medical scientist, Samuel started a blog, The Spice Adventures, where she first explored all manner of savory recipes. When readers (and her son) started requesting more sweets, Samuel reluctantly dove into the world of measuring and precision. In 2016, she entered our Readers’ Choice cooking competition and won the chocolate desserts division with her impeccable chocolate fudge cake.
