Kate Davis

A stay-home mom in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Kate Davis is the voice and baker behind Rage Bake, named for her preferred way to deal with stress. “The worse my mood, the more I need to bake,” she says. In 2017, Davis submitted her recipe for brown butter chocolate chip cookies with toffee crunch to our Readers’ Choice Week competition. The recipe devastated the BA Test Kitchen. Former senior food editor Rick Martinez said Davis’s cookies ruined him for all other cookie recipes. Today, Davis spends her days hiking with her dog, caring for her daughter, and sharing her recipes across social media.
