She also writes about restaurant etiquette, awards, and the forces shaping them, and previously helmed a column on the chaos of the food web at large. Li hails from New Haven, CT, and New York City; despite being raised in the two pizza capitals of the US, she believes Pizza Marvin in Providence, RI, reigns supreme. Li graduated from Brown University, where she studied English and served as the managing editor of the Brown Daily Herald.
