Tiana Gee, a.k.a. Chef Tee, is a Filipina and Black chef from Los Angeles. She began cooking alongside her mother and lola as a child and earned a C-CAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program) scholarship before launching her career in some of Los Angeles’s top kitchens, including Redbird, République, Hearth & Hound, and Tartine. She later moved to New York to serve as sous chef at Marcus Samuelsson’s Harlem restaurant, Red Rooster.
Today, Gee shares recipes and techniques on her YouTube channel, Cookin’ With Tee, and has appeared on Chopped: Next Gen, Ciao House, Beat Bobby Flay, Battle of the Decades, and It’s CompliPlated, which she won. She is also the chef behind SoulPhil, her acclaimed pop-up celebrating the intersection of Filipino and Southern soul food.
