If your dad is one of the world's most famous chefs, what would you give him for a 50th birthday present?

Leo and Benno Batali (ages 14 and 16, respectively) decided to make their very own cookbook with all their favorite recipes for their dad (a guy named Mario, if you couldn't guess) and enlisted their mom (Susi Cahn) to take all the photos on her iPhone. It began as just a family project, but the Batalis being Batalis, the book was better than they even intended, and The Batali Brothers Cookbook ended up getting published in May of this year.

The boys made the book as a birthday present, but we thought that the idea--cooking at home for your dad, and documenting it with whatever camera you've got on hand--was perfect for Father's Day. So we asked Mario to see if his fellow dad friends could shoot some family cooking sessions over the past couple of weeks, and send us what they've got. So here, for your heartwarming enjoyment, are some of Mario's buddies (just guys like Marc Vetri, Joe Bastianich, and Jose Andres, nbd) hanging out and cooking with their kids.
