While working on the west coast, I've traded more than a wallet's full of bills with In-N-Out for some of their addictive Double-Doubles "Animal-Style" (burgers with two fried beef patties [never frozen] and two slices of American, topped with pickles, fried onions, and their signature sauce). It's the only part of living in Los Angeles that I regularly miss. I've witnessed hour-long line-ups of obsessed lunch-goers there, yearning to quell their fix.
