What happens when the chefs from the 2016's class of the Best New Restaurants in America all get together in one room? The food party to end all food parties. Dishes both inventive and familiar, expertly executed by the most exciting chefs of the year. Masterful cocktails on repeat. Bon Appétit editors busting out their best (and worst) dance moves. A night full of unforgettable food from the restaurants we're absolutely hyped on, and possibly a little bit of a hangover.

    Buxton Hall Barbecue's Ultimate Comfort Food

    The line to get a bite of Buxton Hall's buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with a little but of pimiento cheese didn't die down all night. Yeah, the wait was worth it.

    Chicken Liver Paté from the Best New Restaurant in America

    Atlanta's Staplehouse plated up a beautiful bite of their chicken liver mousse tart with muscadine, corn nuts, and ají dulce.

    Barbacoa Tacos, Straight Outta South Philly

    South Philly Barbacoa's chef Cristina Martinez and her son were chopping up lamb barbacoa for some homemade tortillas. The watermelon agua fresca was perfect to wash down your third taco.

    The crew from Providence's Oberlin did a bit of raw scallop with a perfect hit of heirloom pepper and parsley. Rhode Island is the ocean state, after all.

    The second Best New Restaurant in America, Bad Saint, rolled through with their entire crew. Here chef Tom Cunanan presents Kinilaw Na Hipon, a wildly flavorful shrimp dish with fruit and puffed rice.
