As we've mentioned here before, Bon Appetit is teaming up with 13 of the nation's greatest chefs over two nights for two of the world's greatest causes: to raise money for Hurricane Sandy victims, and to eat well. The Do Your Part Dinners will take place at City Grit in Manhattan's Nolita neighborhood. All proceeds from tonight's dinner will go toward The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York (for Hurricane Relief).
What we haven't told you yet is what's on the menu--mostly because we didn't know. But now we do! So:
The first night, Thursday, Dec. 6, will start off with a cocktail hour by the Bon Appetit Test Kitchen, with The Foodist's Pimiento Cheese and La Tienda's Fermín mountain-cured Serrano ham.
Then comes dinner. Here's the deal, chef-by-chef and course-by-course:
The following night, Friday, Dec. 7, dinner starts off with the same cocktail-hour serving, and continues with:
