Cyber Monday drip coffee maker deals

Once upon a time (a time not that long ago, actually), there were very few drip coffee machines that could really make good coffee. That's because most used really hot water which scorched the beans. And if that didn't wreck the pot, the warming plate would see to it that your coffee ended up tasting burnt and stale—like something you’d drink out of a styrofoam cup while waiting to get your car tire patched. But now there are a whole range of machines that brew coffee with great care. Most of them have gotten what the Specialty Coffee Association (basically a group of very smart, discerning coffee pros) calls the “Golden Cup Standard.” If a machine has it, you can be confident the coffee with be both tasty and consistent. And here's the better news: A whole bunch of Golden Standard machines are on sale for Cyber Week. Our personal favorite is Fellow’s Aiden coffee maker, which lets you set your brew temperature to a single degree and walks you through exactly how much coffee you should use in both grams and tablespoons. Today you can also snag a deal on the Technivorm Moccamaster (which we’ve recommended for years), and a couple of programmable coffee makers from Café that we love. Or opt for the machine below from Ratio, which has the very best thermal carafe you can get—no hot plate needed. If you're not looking to spend more than $100 on your morning cup of joe, our product test-winning budget pick from Braun is also on sale for 27% off at Amazon right now.

DEAL: The Fellow Aiden Big Bundle

Fellow's products are consistent winners across the coffee space in our product testing, and their Aiden drip coffee maker is no exception. It blew us away for the way in which it anticipates pretty much every need a drip coffee drinker could possibly have. It has programs that adjust the water temperature and brewing time depending on the roast of the coffee you're using, tells you exactly how much ground coffee to use, and has about a million customization options that coffee nerds are sure to geek out over—all while remaining intuitive to use and beginner-friendly. It's on sale as part of a really great bundle along with Fellow’s knockout burr grinder, coffee scale, and coffee storage solution.

Image may contain: Cup, Device, Appliance, Electrical Device, and Mixer

DEALS: Ratio Six Series 2 Coffee Maker

If you're looking for a great drip coffee maker with a little less going on than the Fellow Aiden, the Ratio Six is your answer. It's a dead-simple machine with one button that makes excellent coffee with no effort on your part thanks to a pour-over-like brewing system.

Image may contain: Cup, Smoke Pipe, Device, and Electrical Device

DEAL: Café Specialty Grind and Brew Coffee Maker

The Café Specialty Grind and Brew is a nice middle ground between the techy features of the Fellow Aiden and the simplicity of the Ratio Six. It's got a built-in grinder and settings for a single cup or full carafe, which makes it a nice pick for people who might only need a single cup of coffee some mornings.

Image may contain: Cup, Appliance, Device, Electrical Device, and Mixer

DEAL: Café Specialty Drip Coffee Maker

If you want a luxe coffee machine but aren't quite willing to shell out for the Ratio Six or Fellow Aiden, go for this brewer from Café Specialty that was a previous top pick in the testing over at our sister site Epicurious. It's similar to the Grind and Brew, but without the built-in grinder or single serve option.

DEAL: Braun Brewsense Coffee Maker

We totally get not wanting to spend upwards of $200 on a drip coffee maker. If that's the case for you, know that you can make really great coffee for under $100. This machine from Braun completely outpaced the similarly priced competition to win the top budget spot in our testing, and it's on sale for 27% off right now.

Image may contain: Device, Appliance, Electrical Device, Mixer, Bottle, Shaker, and Blender

DEAL: ZWILLING Enfinigy 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker

This machine from Zwilling makes Golden Cup standard coffee that's on par with the Technivorm and Café models we list here as well—all at a lower price point than either of those.

Image may contain: Cup, Appliance, Device, Electrical Device, and Mixer

DEAL: Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV 10-Cup Coffee Maker

This iconic coffee maker from Technivorm was the very first to receive the SCA Golden Cup standard mark of approval, and is a longtime favorite of coffee lovers everywhere (us included). It comes in a rainbow of colors, many of which are on sale right now for Cyber Monday.

OXO 8-Cup Coffee Maker

Like all of OXO's products, this coffee maker comes with a host of smart design choices that make it a joy to use. Its coffee is SCA gold-standard certified, it can brew single servings or a full carafe (with a special brew basket accessory to maximize flavor in a single-serve brew), and it rings in at the lower end of the price spectrum for a brewer with this many features.

Cyber Monday espresso machine deals

Breville’s espresso makers are our some favorites—and have earned top spots in our product testing in the past—because they're really consistent. Whether you get a less expensive, more bare bones version like the beginner-friendly Bambino Plus (which won best budget pick in our testing and just went on sale today for Cyber Monday) or a feature-laden one that can hold your hand through your cappuccino making, the espresso will be equally good. And we love that they almost always come with discounts between 20%-30% on Cyber Monday. They are not, however, the only espresso makers with discounts going. The best truly cheap espresso machine is 20% off too. That's the Solis Barista Perfetta Plus. It doesn't have quite the luxe look and feel of a Breville, but the Swiss-made coffee maker produces espresso that's just as good. And at just a touch over $300 today, is cheaper than any other semi-automatic machine that can pull a decent shot. If you're in the market for something truly easy check out Bosch's line of super automatic espresso makers (those are the kind that just ask you to tap a touchscreen once to get fresh ground coffee, espresso). They're tops in our testing and with their high-end model at less than $1200, are as inexpensive as they ever are. Just note that the sale comes without a milk container for flat whites or lattes. But you can get that later. If you’re more advanced, there are also some good deals on prosumer (that’s “professional” + “consumer”) espresso makers from Rocket and Seattle Coffee Gear’s Diletta machines, which are particularly affordable as high end machines go because they’re basically the retailer’s house brand.

The best coffee starts with a nice even grind from a burr grinder and some of our favorites are up to 30% off including deals on Fellow's two excellent grinders, an Oxo grinder with a built-in scale, and Technivorm's first and only coffee grinder (brought to you by the people who make the Moccamaster coffee maker)

Cyber Monday French press deals

Here's a tip about most of those beautiful steel French press coffee makers you've seen: You shouldn't get them. Vacuum insulated presses (which lots of those are) don't actually make the best coffee, because the coffee grounds don't get fully separated from the water after you plunge them. That means the water keeps extracting compounds from the ground coffee and you end up with flavors you don't really want. One big exception to this rule is Espro. The company has a double filtration system that's better than anything else on the market so you can actually leave the coffee in there for a while as you sip and make use of that insulated container. Espro's presses are 20% off right now. If you want something simpler and more basic, the classics from Bodum are on sale too.

“Occasional” coffee makers on sale for Cyber Monday

While a drip coffee maker or automatic espresso machine need to take up permanent residence on your counter, there are smaller coffee makers that aren't every day items, but come through in the clutch during some very specific situations. The Aeropress and Nanopresso make strong coffee while you're traveling easy, and tuck away nicely in your carry on (Oxo now makes an Aeropress-like coffee maker too). Cold brew coffee set ups like the Toddy or our favorite one from Oxo take a while—they need to brew overnight—but are simply the best at what they do and are up to 20% off for Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday coffee scale deals

If you are serious (or considering being serious) about making good coffee, one of the most important things you can do is get your coffee to water ratio correct. The best way to do that? Weigh your coffee beans. Depending on which one you have, a normal kitchen scale might work. But if you're brewing espresso there will be real difference between brewing a single shot using 9 grams of coffee and 7.8 or 10.2 grams of coffee and your scale might not have that. So consider these awesome coffee scales, on sale now.

Cyber Monday Nespresso machine deals

If you’re a house divided (coffee vs. espresso), or a person who wants the convenience of a pod coffee maker as well as the ability to make a great latte at home, consider something from Nespresso’s Vertuoline. These machines make a damn fine cup of coffee plus consistently good espresso-style shots using centrifuge technology. The Nespresso Vertuo Plus is our favorite single-serve coffee maker, but there are plenty of models in the Vertuoline to fit a variety of needs and space restrictions. The Veruto Next can brew a full carafe of coffee from a single pod (and Nespresso sells a pretty glass carafe that fits perfectly under the spout, and the newer Breville Nespresso Vertuo Creatista resembles a “real” espresso machine, thanks to its steam wand and shiny stainless steel body. The latest machine, the Nespresso Vertuo Pop, is a more compact machine that resembles the Vertuo Next and right now there’s a cool matte black model on sale.

Cyber Monday electric kettle deals

If you're a pour-over person (or a tea person, or a person who frequently needs hot water for any reason at all) an electric kettle is an invaluable kitchen gadget. I certainly didn't think I needed one but now that I have one, I use it at least five times a day—and I don't even make pour-over coffee at home! If you do (make pour-over coffee at home, that is) the Fellow Stagg EKG electric gooseneck kettle is the best electric kettle you can get for the job. And right now, it's 20% off. If you don't do pour-overs, you don't really need a gooseneck-style spout, but there are other on-sale electric kettles from Fellow that have the same amazing functionality and are also 20% off today. If you're looking to spend a little less, and you don't mind skimping a bit in the looks department, there are also Cyber Monday deals to be had on our top-tested standard-spout electric kettle from OXO, as well as the brand's gooseneck kettle (which is great, just not quite as great as the Fellow).

Cyber Monday milk frother deals

If you don’t get a machine with a steam wand (or a bundle with a frother), but still want the ability to make lattes and cappuccinos at home, right now you can save on a separate milk frother that makes warm or cold frothed milk at the push of a button. Or opt for a manual milk frother that's a great option if you want something under $25 that works a whole lot better than that frothing wand you've been using. (Hot tip: These gadgets come in handy for making frothed milk for kids and/or hot chocolate too.)

Other versatile coffee systems on sale for Cyber Monday

As much as we love Nespresso machines, we’d be remiss to not include the versatile machines from Ninja and Instant brands. Ninja’s Dual Brew can brew a full pot of coffee or a single-serving of your own ground coffee in a reusable pod. This Ninja is also compatible with Keurig’s single-serve K-cup pods (we don’t like the coffee from K-cups, but you do you). While Instant's Pot Pod won't brew a full pot of coffee, it does allow you to use your own ground coffee in a reusable single-serve pod as well as Keurig's K-Cup pods and Nespresso's Original Line pods. This machine also allows you to choose your brew size and strength, and there's even a button for iced coffee.
