Fennel seeds have a sweet, anise-like flavor, and are commonly used in baked goods, Indian spice mixes, and Italian sausage. Look for
fennel, sold whole and ground, in the spice section of the supermarket. Store all spices in a cool, dark place for no more than 6 months.
