Last weekend, New York's Japan Premium Beef butcher shop gave up its display window space to a handmade meat balloon art installation called Balloon Factory. Chicago's Object Design League (ODL) was commissioned for the project, and, basically, they made a bunch of balloons that look like meat.
The whole thing was put on by NoHo Design District to coincide with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC, which is a big annual event for the design world. You can see more pictures at ODL's Flickr stream (a limited run of the balloons were on sale, briefly, but they're already sold out. Sorry).
There isn't much else to say about these. They are balloons that look like meat, and someone made them. Whatta world.
