Andy Ellison, an MRI technologist at Boston University Medical School, has been taking MRI scans of fruits and vegetables for a couple years, turning them into animated GIFs, and putting them on his website, Inside Insides. He told NPR that he takes these images as warm-up tests of the machines, before they're scheduled for clinical use, so there's no misuse of important medical equipment going on (if you were worried).
