Comedian Ken Jeong Gets Serious About Thanksgiving
Released on 10/20/2015
[Photographer] OK great, yeah.
Can we get the way you're eyeing that a
little higher as well?
Let me try one if we have you on an apple box
and you're a little lower, like you're reducing it a tad.
My God, I've got my full-length photoshoot in a magazine,
and they specifically asked me to sit right here.
We have a no-joke moratorium on Thanksgiving.
All comedians do.
You've gotta do it.
364 days a year,
I get it, be the clown,
but Thanksgiving is the one day.
No joke.
You're tempted maybe to do a fart joke here and there.
Nope, nope, not the time for it, not now.
Wait til tomorrow.
Time for a piece? No?
Doesn't bite.
No seriously, it doesn't bite, because it's not
an animal.
I do love some tofurkey.
There's a great vegan restaurant just outside of L.A.
my wife and I go to, and I always get like tofu-turkey,
and it's kind of amazing.
OK, yeah, I know, I've got cable 12, I'm covering
that shit, yeah.
Yeah, I'm covering cable 12.
[Interviewer] So I'm just going to say the
name of a food, and then...
Sure.
Come back to me with whatever comes to mind.
Delicious.
Love it.
Haven't had it in awhile, but love.
What?
Veganaise. Like, vegan mayonnaise.
My answer is what?
Good for you.
Oh, bibimbap, that's a Korean dish, yo!
That's actually my favorite Korean dish,
like bibimbap in a stone pot,
like amazeballs.
Sure, pass.
You watch your mouth.
I mean, that's just so rude.
Thanksgiving dinner last year, we had it with just our
family alone, like my wife and our two daughters,
and I think the perfect dinner is with,
you know, perfect company.
Thanksgiving's just one of my favorite holidays.
To me, it's just all about family and being grateful
for what you have.
[Photographer] That's great, yep, it's great
at that angle, perfect right there.
Grateful for my cool threads and, you know, cool hair,
and cool base.
You know, the important things.

No, I got it!
No, no, no, it's not uncomfortable at all.
