The atmosphere at Makers & Finders is brilliant in that it achieves one thing the rest of the city does not: It’s chill. Like, really chill. This bright and cheery off-Strip restaurant-cum-coffee bar is in the city’s Arts District, a stone’s throw away from cocktail bar Velveteen Rabbit. You may find yourself paralyzed by indecision when faced with the array of beverage options, but the staff never seems to mind if you take your sweet time to browse the menu. Relax. Sip your Cuban espresso. Order when you’re ready. Here’s a hint: cafe con leche to sip on with your mango, avocado, and queso fresco arepa, and a hibiscus iced tea for the road. You can always come back tomorrow to try the Carne Desmechada (shredded beef) empanadas and Mexican Spice Latte.

Pro Tip: The cortado is made with a combination of condensed milk and whole milk. And it’s excellent.

Details: Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m.- 4 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
