GO HERE: for natural wine in an old Cash2Carry shop in Clapton. Owner Liam Kellerher goal is for it to feel like a friend’s flat: You eat from a five to nine-item menu written by chef Giuseppe Lacorazza, and have a glass of whichever organic, natural, or biodynamic wine is open. You won’t spend more than £25 a head on food, with glasses starting at £5, but it’s hard not to leave without buying a couple of bottles of wine to take home.
ORDER THE: glass of Le Coste Rosato to start; it's a favorite among the staff, who tend to drink light reds and rosés.
THE VIBE IS: more like a pub than a wine bar, with Clapton hipsters filling each of the 15 seats around the communal table and sometimes the sidewalk outside.
PRACTICAL STUFF: No reservations. Open for dinner only, Thursday to Saturday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The wine shop and bar is open every day but Monday, from late afternoon to 10 or 11 p.m.
