GO HERE: for fresh seafood truck that’ll make you think you’re on a surf vacation in the Baja instead of walking around sprawling Mexico City.

ORDER THE: tostadas de callo de hacha (scallops) and atún (tuna) or a gobernador, if you’re feeling like some melted cheese with your shrimp taco. You’re here for the fresh fish—make it count. And don’t forget to take advantage of the satellite condiment bar on the truck’s ledge. The whole meal should only set you back a few dollars.

THE VIBE IS: a food truck, often stationed outside of chef Edgar Nuñez’s restaurant Sud 777 in Pedregal.

PRACTICAL STUFF: Track the location of Barra Vieja via its Twitter handle: @barra_vieja. Open Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
