GO HERE: for a casual fish feast and palomas at a restaurant where patrons are happy to wait for a seat. The lines at this destination restaurant can be long, but that’s only because Gabriela Cámara’s creative takes on world-famous fresh seafood live up to hype.

ORDER THE: red and green grilled snapper and the raw-tuna tostadas—both dishes that both dishes that you’ve probably seen on Instagram.

THE VIBE IS: marine murals and white tablecloths. The dining room is busy, usually packed with glamorous locals from the surrounding Condesa neighborhood looking to unwind with mezcal and grilled fish, and international visitors set on doing the same.

PRACTICAL STUFF: Go for lunch and follow it up with a siesta. Contramar is open Sunday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
