GO HERE: to enjoy what’s basically a nighttime cantina for the 20-to-40-something crowd. It’s got great drinks, food, and music, without the deafening DJs and sardine-packed rooms that tend to afflict the city’s hottest nightlife spots. Sometimes called “Bar-nita” since it opened above the popular lunch-only restaurant El Parnita; the club opens when El Parnita closes, so it’s a fun option after a leisurely late lunch there.

ORDER THE: house mescal, sourced from Guerrero state and usually available in three versions: lower-proof (though still powerful), higher-proof, and pechuga, which is distilled with various fruits, spices, and a raw turkey breast hung in the still (its strength varies).

THE VIBE IS: split between the main terrace area, where large groups of beautiful people boisterously hold court, and a series of small rooms, where you can chat in relative peace.

PRACTICAL STUFF: Open Monday to Sunday, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Reservations are a good idea for larger parties.
