Dawn Davis Won’t Cook Without Her Comfy Sweatshirt and Zester

With the bulk of winter behind me but the promise of spring still not close enough to touch, I’m always looking for ways to stay cozy and keep it lively at home. That’s why I rely on my favorite cooking sweatshirt and a braised lamb shoulder in this gorgeous earthenware vessel when the chill bites, and my handy zester to put the best of citrus season to work in everything from pastas to sauces when I need a jolt.
Here are a few of the items that I can’t cook or entertain (whenever that becomes a thing again) without.
I like to be comfy in the kitchen. This cotton Lingua Franca sweatshirt is incredibly cozy, ethically sourced, and 20% of proceeds are donated to The Movement for Black Lives.
A girlfriend gave me this moisturizing oil—made with squash, peach, and ginger—from the Black-owned business IWI Fresh. With so much dishwashing during the pandemic, this is my go-to.
