From a history of burger chains, to the science of taste, to actual recipes and cultural analysis—this book is almost as essential to a burger lover's shelf as their backup bottle of Hellmann's. Or napkins. There are downright touching essays, historic burger photos that look just as delicious in black and white as they do in color, and enough burger trivia to last a lifetime of dinner parties.
