When chefs like Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Carmellini, and Jose Garces dine outside their own restaurants--during trips overseas or down to the local taco truck--they do so with a special kind of vigor. They are on the hunt for fresh concepts, searching for the next big dish. Or, they are simply looking to crush a hangover with a steaming bowl of pho. Either way, chefs--like bloggers and food nerds everywhere--like to take photos of their culinary discoveries. And in an era of photo filter applications like Hipstamatic and Camera+, these snapshots from the road are starting to look pretty OK.
