Okay, so this isn't technically a latke. There's no egg in it. There are no onions. But it is a fried web of shredded potatoes that you can cut like a pie. Oh yeah--a hash brown. And talk about feeding a crowd on a dime--the only things you need to buy from the grocery store for this over-sized spud cake are some russets and a bunch of scallions. If you really want to splurge, put an egg on top of the slices--but we suggest splurging on some bubbly for your orange juice instead. --Marilyn He
