This is a cake version of the chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons that are a Passover staple.

Alex Lau20/29Key Lime Pie
Using coconut oil in place of some of the butter suggests hints of the tropics, and yogurt folded into the whipped cream reinforces the tang of the lime juice. (Check out all of the recipes that made the list.)
Michael Graydon + Nikole Herriott21/29Vanilla Bean Tarte Tatin
Don’t wait too long before inverting this tart; the caramel will stick if it gets cold. (Check out all of the recipes that made the list.)

Alex Lau23/29Peanut Butter Cookies
What makes these cookies The Best? Well, there’s a few reasons actually. We call for natural peanut butter so that you can dial the sugar and salt amounts exactly. Instead of just adding roasted peanuts from the can, we roast them a second time for even more peanutty flavor. And the pan of water in the oven creates a burst of steam that gives the finished cookies the perfect crunchy-chewy texture. Now you know!
Alex Lau24/29Molten Chocolate Cake
A deep chocolate cake with a liquid chocolate center. Many recipes get this effect by purposely undercooking the cake, so that the middle is raw batter. Effective, but not the most delicious. Our version has a spoonful of ganache in the center, which melts as the cake bakes through.

Chocolate can burn, which would ruin an otherwise impeccable sauce. Make sure to stir all the way down to the bottom of the pan after adding the chocolate and cocoa.
Linda Xiao27/29Strawberry Shortcake
You’re looking at the quintessential June dessert, perfected by the BA Test Kitchen.
Alex Lau28/29Yellow Cupcakes
The nostalgic yellow cake flavor in cupcake form. If using a darker muffin tin, keep an eye on the edges—those pans encourage more browning, and you might end up removing these from the oven a few minutes earlier.
