In terms of show-stopping desserts, you can't go wrong with one that's named after a ballerina. With a firm and crisp outer shell, similar to a meringue cookie, this lady is light on her feet. But here's the thing: she bakes at 200 degrees in the oven for three hours, then hangs out in the turned-off oven for another two. But all that time is worth it when the finished product is covered in a blanket of strawberries and raspberries and served with a glass of rose.

Pavlova will give her best performance. But don't rush her--being this good, she's a bit of a diva.
