Our Conde cousin Glamour is teaming up with Krispy Kreme in the UK to sell Glamour-flavored donuts at Tesco stores (the British 7/11), Krispy Kreme stores, and some other outlets.
The companies said that "the two brands have developed a bespoke treat creating a positive association between fashion and food." They will be available from late August til early October, to overlap with London Fashion Week.
Glamour editor Jo Elvin said of the orange- and strawberry-glazed donuts that, following extensive taste tests, "the Glamour Glaze is one of our must-have Fashion Week accessories."
Ad Age reports that each donut will cost about $2.25 (converted from pounds), proving that, at least in the fashion donut world, betting dollars-to-donuts has become a meaningless expression.
