Most nutrition excerpts would tell you to avoid pizza. But not all of them. Mike Lean of Glasgow University's human nutrition department recently developed a Super Pizza of sorts. It contains 30% of the recommended daily amount of calories, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Technically, this means that you could eat one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have a well-rounded diet. How is that possible?
Lean (we must point out what an appropriate name that is) used ultra-healthy seaweed in the crust to boost nutrient content and reduce sodium. He also added red pepper to the tomato sauce for extra vitamin C.
