Hey, it's Adam DeVine, and Bon Appetit Magazine
has asked me, because I'm sort of,
the number one celebrity foodie, in the world.
They asked me to tell you about
some hard to pronounce foods and what they are.
Because I know all this stuff.
Definitely do, and I'm not gonna make up any of it.
Here we go.
Gee-ro. Ye-ro.
It's a gee-ro, okay, it's not a hero,
because you know what heroes are?
Firemen.
Think about it, okay?
It's not a sandwich, so grow up.
Nee-kos.
[Announcer] Nee-swaahz.
Nee-kos.
You have to order a, this is a,
this is a Russian word, (buzzer rings)
so you've gotta say it very aggressively.
Nee-kos.
Boof--
[Announcer] Boef bur-gee-non.
Boof bur-gen-a-gon.
Boof bur-get-a-gon.
And this is just heaps of beef.
And they call it, in old country they called meat boof.
So, it's definitely real.
I'm not making it up, I wouldn't even look that one up.
Because, what you might find on the internet,
what that means might be different than what I'm telling you
and I speak the truth, I'm Adam DeVine.
(hums)
The more you know, shooting stars.
Cla-foh-tis.
[Announcer] Kla-foo-tee.
This is, this is, they're trying to trick people.
This is just cauliflower.
(buzzer rings)
They're trying to come up with some fancy name.
Hey, guess what, the kids don't want cauliflower.
Quit forcing cauliflower on people.
You know what cauliflower needs?
A new PR person, right?
Quinoa got a good PR person recently,
kale, all of a sudden, kale's hot.
And all of a sudden, like Brussels sprouts.
What's up with Brussels sprouts?
Everyone knows, they all of a sudden
they're eating Brussels sprouts.
Brussels sprouts are not eatin' coll-flower,
or however you say that word, they're not eating that.
So, I'm gonna talk to their people.
Ge-wurts-trammer.
[Announcer] Ge-vurts-tram-in-nair.
This is German, and Germans...
They love them bratwursts, right?
(buzzer rings)
Ya, super.
Ich eaten das Gurtz-trammer ich schnitt in das Schlafzimmer.
Ja, sehr hoong-ert.
Yeah, I speak German.
Ich liebe dich.
Sang-goes-if-vissy.
[Announcer] San-jo-va-zay.
Say-go-vay-say-Issy.
(buzzer rings)
Sag-a-vossy.
(buzzer rings)
Sag-ee-oh-vissy.
And that's how you pronounce it.
I'm not even gonna explain what it is.
