The Easiest Way to Clean a Sheet Pan

[Gaby] Ready?
[bouncy beats]
Magic [chuckles].
Today, I'm gonna show you how to clean a sheet pan
with basic ingredients that you might have at home.
Sheet pans can get really messy, like this one here
at the test kitchen.
You're gonna need two simple ingredients.
Baking soda and white vinegar.
This is little bit of a experiment,
like the one you did in grade school.
So, first I'm gonna put the baking soda on the sheet.
I'm gonna have my sink ready with some hot water.
So I'm gonna pour the vinegar and it's gonna start bubbling.
You can do this with your kids, it's funny.
And then let it sit there for about half and hour.
So, 30 minutes has passed and hopefully this worked.
And it's better to put a towel or something
so it won't slide on your counter.
And then with a steel wool,
you're gonna start working on it.
You're gonna have to work it around using your elbow grease.
And yes, it works.
Let's give it a rinse.
Oh, and yes, please use gloves.
Because your hands might get ruined,
especially if you have a manicure on.
It's a little harder in the corners,
so you have to work around.
And yes, you may have some scratches on it,
but I truly believe that that gives personality
to your sheet pan.
It means that it was well used.
If you don't wanna get your sheet pan
as nasty as this one was, make sure to clean it right away,
ideally as soon as you finish cooking and soak it.
You can do this treatment
or just some all soap and hot water.
Love it.
Done, that is how to clean a sheet pan.
