Whether that’s at 2 a.m. or 6 a.m. is up to you. (Some people we know have never been before midnight—or sober; others go just for lunch.) Just know that, like the decor at this 24-hour Southern chain, the menu is always consistent, and always consistently delicious. It’s no secret that BA’s Andrew Knowlton, an ATL native, is their No. 1 fan. (He even worked a 24-hour shift, perfecting his hash brown– and waffle-making skills.) His go-to order? A patty melt with hash browns served scattered, smothered, covered, and peppered. Whatever you do, he advises, order a pecan waffle on the side. There’s seemingly a Waffle House every few blocks in Atlanta; the Piedmont location is known for great service and wild crowds on the weekends.

PRO TIP: Behold the secret menu. If you’re nice enough, they’ll make you anything you want, like the OG omelet: Cooked right on the griddle, it’s thin and rolled rather than puffy.

THE DETAILS: Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
