Pavement was one of the first cafes in the city to properly cold-brew coffee and attentively execute pour-overs. And, while its six locations may be busier than when they first opened, plush tufted couches and brick walls make them ideal sanctuaries to hibernate in during bitter Boston winters.

PRO TIP: It’d be criminal to turn down this shop’s Spanish latte. It’s sweetened with condensed milk. And yes, order a bagel!

THE DETAILS: Pavement started as a bagel bakery and is still cranking ‘em out. Get one, preferably spread with honey butter whipped with Maldon.
