It’s not about being the coolest place in town; it’s about being one of the best. “Born in the Berkshires” isn’t usually part of a third-wave coffee shop pedigree, but this 20-year-old roaster bucks the trend. The Fort Point and Back Bay cafes are airy and chill; the Newbury Street location has a bit of outdoor seating for those cold-brew days.
PRO TIP: That crazy looking contraption in behind the bar? That’s a Steampunk, and it’s worth the mini-adventure (and Instagrams) to have your coffee brewed on one of the only machines like it in town.
