Eric Wolitzky gained national notoriety for his appearance on Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts.” Today, Wolitzky serves as executive pastry chef of Fifth Group Restaurants, where he oversees the pastry programs at popular Atlanta concepts including South City Kitchen, Ecco, La Tavola Trattoria, The Original El Taco, Lure, and Alma Cocina.

Before leading the pastry team at Fifth Group Restaurants, Wolitzky led both the baker and pastry programs at Atlanta’s Cakes & Ale, one of BA’s Best New Restaurants for 2009, and The Bakery at Cakes & Ale, BNR 2012. During his tenure, he earned a spot on Food & Wine’s “The People’s Best New Pastry Chef” list and was named a “Rising-Star Pastry Chef to Watch” by Atlanta Magazine.

Raised in a family of bakers, the native New Yorker began working at bakeries, including Baked in Brooklyn, in his teens. He holds a culinary degree from the French Culinary Institute, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama, and a Master of Arts in Performance and Cultural Studies from New York University.
