After you've spent Sunday toasting Mom, turn your attention to a few of the food industry's big-hearted Dads. (Yes, we know dads get their own day next month, but bear with us.) On Tuesday, May 10th in NYC there will be a panel discussion featuring restaurateur/father of four Danny Meyer, wine expert/father Gary Vaynerchuk, and chef/pere extraordinaire Jacques Pepin on the topics of food, fatherhood, and what it takes to succeed. Tickets to the event, which start at $25, will benefit the Pediatric Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Fund for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation. The disease is a chronic pain condition suffered by some children, including the child of a friend of Robert Rosenthal's--aka "The Short Order Dad"--an avid food-lover, culinary school grad, and the panel's moderator.
