A while back we ran a contest in the magazine to fly out one lucky reader and a guest to Bon Appétit HQ at Times Square in New York City and hang with the test kitchen for a day. A winner was chosen, much pomp and circumstance commenced and, just like that, Tara and Steve Miller of Washington D.C. were in the BA Kitchen today.

Deputy Food Editor Janet McCracken and recipe developer Alison Roman demonstrated a few recent hits: The
Grilled Kale Salad with Ricotta and Plums and
Blueberry Cobbler from June and
halibut cooked en papillote with tomatoes, squash and basil from June. If that sounds like the perfect summer menu for a leisurely summer afternoon in the BA Kitchen, it was. And if you think any of that blueberry cobbler wasn't eaten, you'd be wrong. --Matt Duckor
