We love a potluck dinner, but sometimes our sweet tooth takes over the party planning. Enter the pie social: an afternoon of friends, coffee, and what some would call an abundance of pies (not us). Make one from these pages and ask guests to bring a favorite, then sample away. It's fun and, thanks to your pie-making friends, easy to pull off.
Have guests R.S.V.P. with the name of the pie they'd like to make so you don't wind up with a table full of blueberry.
Put out a bowl of nuts and a plate of cheese and baguette slices to counter all the sweetness.
Pie dishes can look similar once the pies are gone. As guests arrive, write the owner's name on masking tape and affix it to the bottom of the dish.
Forget the giant portions: It's about trying every pie.
Write the name of each pie on a place card so guests know what's what.
Homemade crust is best (If time allows). Find our recipe here.
Send guests home with slices in a bakery box, available at brpboxshop.com.
