Will There Be Dessert The Food Lover's Cleanse FAQ Recipe

Everything you can eat on the cleanse sounds great. What does it cut out?
This is not the toxin-flushing, extremely reductive cleanse you might be expecting. But it does have rules: no refined flours, butter, or processed meats, and not much dairy. There’s only a bit of refined sugar (in a bittersweet chocolate bark).

I can’t get through the afternoon without a salty snack!
I know where you’re coming from. I’m a dedicated pretzel fan. Here’s how I make it through: I empty the pantry of tempting foods (we’ll give you guidelines). Then I lean hard on the salty-enough snacks in the program; they have protein to tide me over until dinner.

I’m busy. Can I really do this cleanse?
It’s a lot of time in the kitchen, I’ll admit. But on the days you can’t do it, take the basic rules of the cleanse and adapt them to your lifestyle: The spinach at the salad bar can be the backbone of your lunch. A simply cooked piece of fish paired with roasted veggies and whole grains works just fine for dinner.
