Chef Alejandra Ramos & Jojo: Pt. 2
Released on 10/22/2020
[soft piano music]
My name is Alejandro Ramos.
I'm a chef and TV host and this is my dog Jojo.
Jojo has quite the personality.
[laughs]
He's actually the perfect dog for me
because he's super smart, he's vibrant.
He's like basically walked into our apartment
and immediately jumped up on the couch jumped up on the bed.
He was like, yep, I live here now.
I would describe Jojo as a grumpy affectionate firecracker.
[laughs]
My job requires me to spend a lot of time
in the kitchen obviously.
I develop recipes for TV segments for articles.
Till today I'm prepping a little date night Tapas feast
which is something that I've been doing a lot lately.
I love doing Tapas cause it allows me to make
a bunch of different dishes
and have a bunch of different little flavors
and tastes and a little bit of everything.
Jojo is always in the kitchen when I'm cooking.
The minute that I walk in,
his little nose just like flares up
which just like sniffing the air.
Its like he knows something delicious is about to happen.
Quarantine has been completely like a reset
like I've got into just kinda get back to the flavors
that I love having fun and playing around
and it led to creating new dishes
and discovering new substitutions
that I wouldn't have used before
had I not been kinda forced into this little box.
When I'm choosing food for myself and for my husband
I always try to choose the best ingredients possible
and Jojo is part of my family too.
So I wanna make sure that he's also getting
the best ingredients he can get.
I feed Jojo Cesar dog food
because I love the varieties.
Jojo can be a little bit picky sometimes
and the minute he starts loving something
he suddenly wants something completely new.
One thing that's really cool about the simply crafted
is that the name of the flavor
is like entire ingredient list.
So if it's chicken with peas and potatoes,
the ingredients are chicken, peas and potatoes
and when you open the container,
you see chicken and you see peas and you see potatoes
and it doesn't look any different
than anything that I would eat.
Jojo makes my life better.
So I think he deserves the best.
