How to buy:
Purchase figs fully ripe, as flavor won't improve after harvest; fruit should give to gentle pressure. Seek out slightly wrinkled skin with no bruising. Small cracks are okay.
How to store:
Keep in a bowl in the refrigerator for two to three days. Serve at room temperature.
