5 Great Ways to Use Matcha

Go Traditional
Combine 1 tsp. matcha and 6 oz. almost-boiling filtered water in a bowl; whisk into a frothy drink.

Make Green Salt
Mix 1 tsp. matcha with 1/4 cup flaky sea salt and sprinkle on poached eggs or seared duck breasts.

Whip Up a Smoothie
Make an antioxidant-rich breakfast or snack using 1 tsp. matcha and 1/2 cup each plain yogurt, soy milk, and sliced banana.

Shake and Bake
Sprinkle 1 tsp. matcha into cake or cookie batters to add color and a subtle, earthy flavor.

Dress a Salad
Use 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 1/2 cup grapeseed oil, 1/4 tsp. grated ginger, and 1 tsp. matcha for a bright vinaigrette.--Meryl Rothstein
