So you might have heard, we have this Bon Appetit mandoline on sale all day at HSN. We've already waxed poetic about its well-designed, sharp-bladed virtues, but we thought we'd back up our claim that it's actually super-useful in the kitchen with some cold, hard, recipe evidence. So here, just like in a courtroom, is a slideshow proving that you can make delicious things with a mandoline.

There are mushrooms sliced thin enough to eat raw, asparagus shaved into elegant loops, and brussels sprouts transformed into a slaw. All of this is much, much easier to achieve with a mandoline than they would be with a knife (no matter how baller your knife skills may be).

So case closed! You can pick yours up here.
