garlic cloves, finely chopped

tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

    Step 1

    Cook broccolini in a large pot of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl of ice water; drain.

    Step 2

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add butter and broccolini and cook, tossing occasionally, until butter is melted and broccolini is coated with sauce, about 2 minutes. Add lemon juice; season with salt and toss to combine.
